A message from the Principal Debora Hannon...
Upon entering an atrium called the Garden area, Madill School students and visitors immediately
get a feel for the environment that exsists throughout the school. This aptly named area contains many
species of plant life as well as a pond complete with a fountain and waterfall. The level of tranquility
that this creates for this area seems to resonate throughout the building. A calm and comfortable
learning environment is pervasive in all instructional areas. At Madill School we encourage high
academic excellence through integrated thematic experiences. Communty involvement is an integral
part of the program and this is facilitaed by nationaly certified PTA as well as teachers who have deep
connections to community parents. These community partners are used to enhance student learning
in a variety of areas.The faculty and staff of Madill School are dedicated group of professionals who
demonstrate, on a daily basis,a caring concern for all children. We strive to provide a safe and effectice
learning environment where instructional practices are researched based and adjusted based upon new
findings. |
| Performance on New York State assessments in English Language Arts, Mathematics,Science and
Social Studies has consistently met or exceded state benchmarks. We at Madill School are very proud
of our accomplishments and will continue to strive to provide our students with a well-rounded
educational experience that will prepare them for the challenenges of the future. |
